Save a Live Photo as MP4 on a PC
What is the MOV next to my photo?
A Live Photo includes an HEIC or JPG image and a short MOV video. Copying only the photo leaves out the motion. Keep both original files.
Find the original photo and video pair
Select photos and MOV files, or a folder, in the tool below. It compares embedded capture identifiers to verify the pair. Similar filenames alone do not prove a match. Missing identifiers may prevent verification.
Saving and playing the MP4
Once a pair is verified, choose “Convert to MP4 and save”. The video is remuxed without recompression. Audio availability depends on your browser and file and is reported by the tool. HEVC videos may still need HEVC playback support. A missing MOV cannot be reconstructed from the still image.
